Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ You can review the newsletter here, which includes a Conclave meeting for all Summoned. New arrivals may participate!

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 15th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 17th. This month's event will include a separate investigation related to Event #12 and a winter celebration across all major nations.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jill Warrick is a magical tactical nuke in human form and has been treated like such throughout her entire life, and worse. A prisoner of war for only slightly less of the majority of her life, and a ward of nation that fought her own for the majority of her life before that, Jill tried her best to put her intense self-hate to rest by committing a well-deserved murder. Successful on the murder but not quite on the self-loathing, Jill is, for the most part, reserved, calm, and incredibly kind with a habit of devaluing her own self-worth. She's quite lady-like, having formal training to be a lady of the court, and has been indulging in all the things that were denied to her as a prisoner of war and assassin/wmd.
CR YOU WANT:

Magic users in Thorne! She absolutely is focused on learning as much as possible as quickly as possible, and could use mentors to look out for her so that she doesn't exhaust herself or get into trouble. Or, uh, actively help her cause trouble.

People who are staunchly anti-god. Jill's first impressions of the situation in Abraxas has her immediately suspicious of Solvunn and anyone involved with the old gods/the new gods. Events in her own canon have also made her believe that anyone claiming to be a god can get fucked, so it would be great to gather like-minded people here in case things go south.

Anyone who's interested in helping the average, every day people better survive should something catastrophic happen. She doesn't like the idea that everyone is so reliant on the Summoned to solve problems and would rather spend energy helping them be better prepared for whatever might come their way. From teaching them different ways to store produce or more modern farming methods, she really does want to help them more than she wants to help the leadership in the factions.

If your character is 1) for overthrowing the queen of Thorne AND/OR 2) inherently suspicious of the Singularity and the Summoned purpose in Abraxas, I would love to start up a conversation help Jill get involved in those things!

She is also slowly working to integrate herself into the Thorne political culture, so anyone involved in that on the Summoned end offering to take her under their wing and explain how things specifically work for Thorne as compared to the courts of other worlds would be most welcome!

ABOUT YOU: I tend to natter alternately about rp/fandom/irl. Other hobbies include video games, distance running (slowly), travel when I actually get to do some, attempting to be a foodie. I do really enjoy OOC chatter about our characters - what they're getting up to, what's in their heads, things etc. though I try to avoid making plurk the sole avenue for plotting.

As a general forward-looking RP thing, I recently finished a training cycle that wreaked havoc on my tagging leading up to the race and have enjoyed getting to be more consistent since I don't have such a restrictive daily schedule, so I am hoping to really throw myself into developing longer-term CR/IC initatives/etc etc. for both my dudes :D

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad | Assassin's Creed

CHARACTER NAME: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
CANON: Assassin's Creed

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Altaïr comes from the corner of an alternate-history canon with some interesting wrinkles in how the fiction intersects with the historical record. He is a member of the brotherhood of Assassins, which was a known (if secretive) faction during his era; unlike other AC installments, if you landed in real-world Damascus circa 1191 and asked how to get to the Assassins' fuck-off huge fortress, someone could actually give you directions. (And then ask why the fresh hell you wanted to go there.)

He is freshly from the end of the first Assassin's Creed game, which means he has recently gotten a lot wiser about the meaning of his creed, what his place is in the world, and why you shouldn't be an enormous douchebag just because you're a star athlete. With the enthusiasm of a new convert, he's interested in learning about absolutely everything, so please someone club him in the head so he'll sleep at some point.

Altaïr also has a fun color-coded sixth sense that tells him whether someone is a friend/enemy/etc (NOT whether they are a good/bad person). If you'd like to set a baseline of how your character would appear to him/whether I should OOCly always use/never use/ask before using Eagle Vision on your character, please fill out this handy-dandy permissions post! You can also come back and change it at any time.

CR YOU WANT:

-NERDS who like LEARNING and BOOKS and will tell him where he can get BOOKS
-Shady people (not the kind who hurt innocents, but Altaïr is basically a Professional Shady Person, so)
-People who are like "hmmmm nah" about faction loyalty
-Not specifically looking for negative CR in the "hey let's start a fight" sense, but the dude can be abrasive/his philosophy and way of doing things is absolutely not gonna be everyone's cuppa so if conflict makes sense I'm INTO IT

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Literally nothing. Probably the only CR that wouldn't initially work as well is CR that's dependent on characters actively pursuing small talk for the sake of winning friends and influencing people, as Altaïr is pretty to-the-point and isn't amazing at chatting just to chat. That said, all he needs is a reason, and I'm happy to come up with one to kickstart a thread, so let's talk!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Building up a more permanent stake/role in the sitting. Altaïr has Big Responsibilities waiting for him back home, he doesn't intend to make a life here, but he's realistic enough to understand he has no say on his presence in this dimension. So...what now? What's his thing, his project? He wants to invest himself in this place while he is here, but what's that gonna be? Ideally he'd want to found a bureau of the Assassins' brotherhood here, but 1) he's pretty paranoid to try doing that solo 2) less ability to influence the world by murder here, so such a brotherhood would lean more toward the Learn About The Creed Power Hour and I'm not sure anyone wants that lmao.

-Info-gathering! This isn't really a defined project, but while Altaïr appreciates that Free Cities leadership has not attempted to conscript the Summoned, he doesn't trust that this will never happen and his default state is suspicion.

-Money! Dude is not materialistic but he's pragmatic enough to understand that he needs some cash to get by. Since he doesn't plan to be a soldier, I'm always up for him doing weird odd jobs. One-offs are fine but ongoing "business" relationships make great CR building.

-Exploration! Oh god he always wants to explore so bad. At his canon point, he just saw a projection of the world-as-a-globe and had his mind opened to just how much there is to learn, so he wants to check out E V E R Y T H I N G in this new environment. Also he has to get informed if he wants to blend in as needed. Dude is a NERD.

-Philosophy! Come talk to Altaïr about how you see the world. Then let him tell you his own thoughts. Do you like Empedocles? (said in the same tone of voice as "do you like anime?") He's not going to start recruiting for the brotherhood of Assassins without any infrastructure backing him up, but he'll absolutely seek to share the guidance of their philosophy.

-Murder! Okay, well, this is not ICly a priority (see above), he is an Assassin but doesn't just kill for the sake of killing. That said, it's what he's good at, and I am down to clown with any such plots that involve these skills.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Wrench is a former hitman and only surviving member of the Fargo crime syndicate. At present, he's about ten years post-encounter that left his former partner (and love of his life) dead, and his entire syndicate totally obliterated. He's also around five years out from coming into a two-million-dollar windfall, though for all intents and purposes, it doesn't appear that he ever did anything with the money he acquired. (Certainly, he did not buy himself any new clothes.) He's mostly been subsisting by living totally off the grid and trying not to get captured by the US Marshals and brought to justice for the many, many murders he's committed. In a nutshell, he's your resident Hitman With a Heart of Gold.

Important point of information: Wrench is Deaf and doesn't voice. I have a communication FAQ page if you want more information about any of that, and you can always feel free to ask for clarification or to brainstorm ways of interacting with him. I am forever welcoming of people who want to lean into the challenge, but am also highly cognizant about it not being more "trouble" than it's worth for people.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
→ I'm finally starting to cobble together Wrench's Horizon, which includes opportunities for any visitors to freely participate in some recreational activities, or to learn some ASL when he's around.

→ Anyone willing to help teach him Abraxan magic, or practice it with him.

→ Anyone who wants to give the Midnight Cowboy wannabe a makeover.

→ Anyone who might need a bit of muscle to carry out their own plans. He is pretty good at hunting, foraging, and building shelters especially, but he's best at following directions. He'll do anything for you from guarding your body from danger while you're in Horizon (for the Solvunn) to watching your back for you in Nocwich to staffing your business (you boss babe you).

→ Wrench is a guy who suffered a lot of manipulation and grooming to make him into a person who once killed on command. I'd love to find some folks who might convince him to use those violent talents. Need blood? Need a body? Need something unsavory dealt with? Something you'd be reticent to ask others for, or even dirty their hands with involvement in? No worries; Wrench is your guy.

→ I'd like to develop some CR in the direction of Wrench becoming fiercely (and possibly violently) protective of some folks. He's basically his canon's avenging angel, and I want to see that side of him develop into a space where he might get up to some of his old tricks if the people he cares about are threatened. It's remarkably easy to make Wrench care about you, too. Pay him the slightest bit of attention and he's already in your corner, simple as that.

→ All that said, for the sake of my own sanity, I imagine that eventually, some "legitimacy" in his everyday is going to win out, so I'd love to find ways that he can start to realize he's got more to offer than just murder. It's not that his self-esteem is in the dirt; he's just literally never heard of her.

→ He's very confused by -- and largely disinterested in -- the politics of this place. (Most of the conversation has gone right past him, let's be real.) However, I'd be delighted for him to have some conversations about morality with some folks so he can start to see how possibly fucked up his is.

Eddie is a doomed by the narrative, anxiety-ridden metalhead from 1980s Indiana—but like, a highly cursed town in Indiana that houses an alternate dimension with monsters and creepy shit. Long story short, he had one really bad week that started with him being wanted for a murder he didn’t commit (the satanic panic of it all) and ended with him getting munched on by some mutant monster-bats. Bats: 1, Eddie: 0

He repeated his senior year twice back home and in game time, he’s 22 years old. He doesn’t like conformity, but he does like D&D and rock music to an obsessive degree. He’s super dramatic and super nervous. He’s incredibly intense and might look like he’s gonna strangle you if you even try to insult his favorite bands, but he’s a kind-hearted dude who genuinely wants to help and do the right thing and has a serious soft spot for those who “don’t belong”.

His authority as chief of psychiatry allows him to terrify his patients and hide his involvement in crime. His expert testimony shields gangsters from prison and he is well respected. He is a brilliant scientist who loves the thrill of research. He just happens to get his kicks by experimenting on people without their consent.

CR YOU WANT:

Crane will talk with anyone in order to learn what makes them tick. Engage in discussions about literature. Discuss philosophy and learn how he views the world. Debate the merits of classical music and science. Or make the fantastic decision to seek therapy. Crane loves probing minds and his psychological expertise enables him to provide insight and perspective. Seek his guidance on loneliness or the varied challenges of living away from home. Are you experiencing psychological distress after a recent event? Seek help. He comes highly recommended.

Open to most things! Crane is a villain and I want to be careful about outing him. He is building a positive reputation to mask his immoral behavior. I understand discretion and building on the backburner.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

Crane has opened a private practice and needs clients! He is a competent psychologist willing to offer advice and guidance to those who have experienced trauma. His horizon includes an office and a laboratory where he researches minerals and flora in order to identify and develop new medications. I am considering him running for Free Cities representative because the boost to influence offers interesting interactions with his character plot. But he is unwilling to indulge in politics so I wonder about gaining influence in other ways.

Secondly, I want to explore the relationship between his public persona and who he is beneath the mask. Crane is the mask he wears, Scarecrow is the man behind it. I would love to explore the psychology of that.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Julia is a witch in her mid-twenties from a typical real world where fantasy stuff is a secret genre. Urban fantasy as a genre. She was stuck in a time loop with her friends where 39 times she'd gone to the magic school Brakebills, and they'd all died, so the 40th timeline she was pushed outside of the group and left on her own. She became a Hedge Witch which is a self-taught magic user (instead of university-educated) and became very good at it. Eventually some very bad things happened (PLEASE LOOK AT HER OPT-OUTS HERE they are very serious) and she has gone through a lot of pain in the past few years. I will not be bringing up anything on there without warnings and making sure the other person is okay. She is not a trauma dumper.

A key part of her right now is that she is a goddess in her world. People with supernatural abilities/sensitivity to feeling it would probably know right away, she radiates it especially as she's a baby deity not in control of her powers. She didn't ask for it, so she's trying her best. Julia has been courting a goddess Endrborrin to gain her blessing. Stay tuned. She can also teach people Magicians magic if you want your character to learn something different from the native magic. It is spellwork and so usable from anyone with access to magic.

Julia's a type A personality, she takes charge when she needs to and she reacts badly to people trying to control her. She is very curious and likes to ask people questions about themselves, so watch out for that. She is really seeking a community and a coven of sorts, having felt alone most of this experience, but she doesn't know how. 

CR YOU WANT: Everything! Julia is friendly and generally likes people. She likes to pull introverts out of their shells in particular. She is a kind person and tends to caretake.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: No negative CR as of right now just because she's new and she's still trying to heal from heavy negative things. Light annoyance and bickering is fine, just not enemies.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Ed is a pirate who's at the end of his career and seeking to retire, except all he's ever done is be a pirate and so he's floundering a little which may or may not have led to some moderately unhinged behaviour like (returning to) terrorizing the seas when his boyfriend abandoned him and trying to become a fisherman. Fortunately, reuniting with his true love, a little self-care, and some murder has helped undo a bit of his lifelong trauma. His moods can be erratic and unpredictable, but it's not difficult to get on his good side, and his energy is often directed towards small peculiar delights. Ed is a man searching for more from life than he was ever told it would give him, and these days he's found more to live for. Content warnings since Ed does come with a few.

CR YOU WANT:

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

— ◈ Found family. Specifically, the kind of found family where you're all a bunch of fuck-ups and possibly wanted for murder and other crimes, but you've got each other and a place to belong, and that gives your life a bit more meaning. It'll be hard for him to be away from the man he loves after having just reunited with him (for the third time), so he could use a good support system.

— ◈ Inn-keeping. Ed will find a rundown shack somewhere, and he's going to try and build it into an inn just like he and Stede planned back home. It'll be his "trial run" for when he reunites with Stede because practice makes perfect, as they say. This will not be a successful venture. Ed is absolutely not cut out for any sort of customer service. But, I would love people who will go along with it and support this dream of his. Help him pick out curtains and paint colours, please.

— ◈ Pirate-y things. At the end of the day, Ed is a pirate. He's starting to accept that side of him even if he might introduce himself as an innkeeper first and a pirate second. He has an extraordinary talent for it and can help anyone who wants to know the best way to slice and dice, or tell the weather when at sea. Or, if you just want to hear some gnarly stories from him, he's got a lot of those, too.

— ◈ Adapting to land. In a similar vein, Ed is...not used to living on land. He's been sailing since he was teenager so anything to do with hunting, foraging, or just generally nature, he's pretty shit at - though he's also never tried very hard to be good at it, either. Given the chance to learn, Ed's natural instincts will catch up and I'd like someone who's patient enough to take him on so he can develop those skills.

— ◈ Love and acceptance :( Ed just wants people who'll love him for being himself, and I think it'd be nice for him to also be supportive of others in return, who are struggling to find their place, too. He can relate.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Full list of content warnings here. Kyle's past is pretty heavy, it involves a lot of trauma dealing with his world's church, his upbringing in a monastery where he was trained to be a priest-assassin-spy. There's also some world-hopping and memory issues that persist since his arrival here. He's come to terms with his church as an institution being not so great, but he still holds an unbreakable devotion to his deity and has been learning to separate what the church taught him versus what he knows his god's all about for real.

He's been in Abraxas for over a year (!!)

CR YOU WANT: Friends, enemies, everything in between. Not super picky! He's previously been in a kind of survival undercover-mode and hiding everything from his powers to his past, borderline lying about it sometimes - but since Event #12 he's been more open about things.

He's got a lot of contacts (friends) in other factions, once you gain his trust he's willing to trade information. He's also willing to help newbies get their footing with general world/lore info, I'm happy to either play this out or handwave.

Because 1) he thinks he was dying before he came here and 2) he believes this is where his god wants him to be, Kyle is starting to wonder about the long term in Abraxas on a personal level. He has a soft spot for other people who want to make a home here, and in general is very protective of the people he gets close to even if he doesn't always show it.

➔ FACTION/WAR STUFF: Because of his own interpretation of their situation + religious beliefs Kyle is dedicated to protecting the Singularity, which at the moment has him invested in Thorne's stability as a faction, since it's them and Solvunn standing in the way of the Free Cities intention to destroy it. As things stand, that means his support is toward protecting the status quo, despite his dislike of the queen and the idea of the Thorne monarchy gaining control of the Singularity. The king seems more reasonable and uses a lot of buzz words that Kyle likes, but he's still a mortal man without divine right behind him and Kyle is pretty lukewarm on nobility (to be fair he's pretty ehhhh on democracy too). He currently works as an official courier for the crown and has pretty decent influence.

He's been seen 'teleporting' but the full extent of his abilities aren't widely known - depending on wards he's able to spy on people from the Gray Space. He's also pretty morally grey, and will compartmentalize to do a murder or other shady things if absolutely necessary. Happy to plot with people, either as a support for any plans or a hinderance!

➔ RESEARCH: Kyle has been trying to research the unknown parts of Abraxas' history, including what happened to the Summoned from the Ninth High Mage's time and why Thorne became so distant from High Magic and the gods. For his courier jobs he has recently been allowed to travel to Hayle, and is on good terms with an Arcana researcher at the university.

Two years and change later, he's established himself as an architect in Abraxas, shares an office with Jaskier, and even has a low key Friends Who Smooch situation going on with someone else. Also he turns into a wolf and enjoys sleeping in the local Cadens graveyard.

Alucard is currently trying to follow up on the whereabouts of Elizabeth and Oliver, two game NPCs who appeared some time ago and don't seem to have left a trace.

On a very related note, his investigation into the above has found a few vague connections to the "new day" that came up when the Fae opened their doors to the Summoned earlier in the year. He's working with folks in Thorne and Solvunn to investigate further. There seems to be something up that's based in magic, but he's exhausted his own leads since he is in the Free Cities and that's far more technology based.

Al is always working on buildings for Libertas in the background, so if you want to fuck around with some arts and theatre venues there, Al is around.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: the best way to succinctly describe jyn is that she's an angry feral cat who's had some trauma but under all of that, she just wants to find people she can count on and trust, as well as a home to call her own and a life to live freely without the influence of the fascist autocracy she's clawed to survive under the thumb of. she comes from the star wars universe, her father was the lead scientist who worked on the death star project, she was taken in by rebel militant saw gerrera and trained as a child soldier before being left on her own. and while she will eventually be one of those who leads the mission to scarif in rogue one to steal the death star plans and transmit them to the rebellion, she's coming to you from early in the movie when she's just been broken out of imperial prison, so none of that has happened for her yet!

also as an fyi, she is definitely going by a false name because she Does Not Trust Like That — and also she hasn't gone by her real name since she was eight years old, and has a lot of complicated feelings about it! there's a strong possibility that she might use more than one false name.

CR YOU WANT: jyn is a sort of prickly, antagonistic type (because this is largely how she protects the most vulnerable parts of herself from the rest of the world), so if you're in for some negative cr where our characters have stupid arguments about things all the time, or just don't mind things being a little prickly at first, this is definitely your girl! she is also someone who's very moved by kindness, more than she would outwardly acknowledge she is, so she's also very prone to building fast friendships and seeking out people she feels a need to protect. learning how to rely on others again is an arc i'd really like to work on for her, so anyone who would be patient enough to work past how she might present initially and be here for her kinder, softer sides is definitely also cr i would like.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: as mentioned, one of my larger character arc wants with jyn is to get her trusting people again, get her relying on and working with people again. without the film development from rogue one under her belt here, i'm curious to see any similarities and differences in how she'll come to work with a team again here. additionally, she is suspicious as FUCK of everything thorne is about, from what she's seen so far, so anyone who's thinking along those lines and would maybe be interested in planning out some kind of long-term "find out the truth"/sabotage kind of thing? 👀 so here for that. she also very deeply cares about what happens to civilians/innocents, so that's definitely an angle to get her involved in the plot and i'm also here for those possibilities.

Hilda is one of Fodlan's It Girls, a self-proclaimed delicate flower, spoiled, and allergic to work. There is a 100% chance that she will probably find a way to pawn it off on someone else unless coerced or bribed into it.

In all seriousness, Hilda is the youngest daughter of the Goneril house and more or less believes that she'll only disappoint others if she tries to do anything but play the part of a nobleman's daughter. She might act like an air head, but she's more perceptive than she makes herself out to be and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about.

She's a DIY queen, adores makeup, beauty products, self-care and loves making her own jewelry and accessories. She's deadly with an axe in her hands, a Big Flirt, super friendly, a fantastic shopping buddy/hypewoman but will also keep you humble in the exact same breath. I'm playing her from mid-Verdant Wind just before she murders former classmates on a battle field.

CR YOU WANT:

Any and all! If your character runs into Sylvain or Claude, feel free to assume that that's an easy in with Hilda. They used to live above the Sarstina but have since moved into their own loft in Cadens.

She still picks up shifts at the Sarstina bar to make some cash, but it's largely social time. She's friendly and easy to get along with, but here's a couple of bullet points:

- Deepening current CR because I love and adore all of the directions they're going.
- Establishing new CR because she's a little sister but she'd be overjoyed to be a big sister, or for someone to sweep her under their wing as an honorary sibling. Chaotic, silly fun CR is loved and adored.

- (UN)OFFICIAL WELCOMING COMMITTEE | Come and join the Unofficial Cadens Welcome Committee! It's run by Sam but also includes Jesper and Diana. Hilda is just along for the ride, making cute posters and exasperating their fearless leader. You'll probably catch her as a part of the city tours and being a friendly face that'll chat your ear off unless you tell her to stop.

- THE ARTS | Do you like fashion? The aesthetics? The ARTS? Hilda is a part of the team managing the Old Public Hall. For someone who hates working she's sure doing a lot of it. Designing and making her own jewelry has gone full steam ahead. Hilda has taken up an unofficial apprenticeship with a local NPC, Cyprian, who is a metalworker and blacksmith. She'll be flitting in and around Aquila pitching various designs to the fashion houses there but if you want something made for you hit her up. She's happy to take commissions for the low price of favours she can cash in in the future. Or money if the other one sounds too ominous to you. ...Or hell, nothing at all really if you're a friend. Let her shower you with pretty things!

- ARTIFICER IN TRAINING | Building on the above, Hilda is also going to venture into learning how to enchant objects, specifically the things she makes! I've got a couple of ideas re: cool functional jewelry, but she'll be working together with Viktor to make this pipe dream of hers come to fruition. I'd love to send her down an artificer (but of accessories) track at some point and this will be the baby steps towards that. She can currently make accessories that can cast/shed light and bracers that will cast a shield that can free up people's hands. This isn't to say that she won't make weapons of the pointy variety, but she'd have to be really convinced. She recently made a light up sword for Cal. By accident. Come at her with your ideas!

- TRAINING + MAGICS | She has, regrettably, started training again due to a series of unfortunate events (boo Stevemerica and Sam by association). She'd still like to brush up on her magic which will include some healing/aid skills while trying to keep up with her training out of sight of those closest to her. She'll need some sparring buddies or might approach folks she thinks can help with that but keep it hush. Note: she will still absolutely whine and complain the entire time.

- A DELICATE FLOWER(?) - The last event has gifted her the ability to make it look like she's got the head of a Demogorgon when she's extremely angry/startled/surprised. She's got an inkling that something is weird but I'd love to play with this more and find a way to help her reject it/make it worse or master it some day!

So he is trying not to let anyone know about the High Elder shit, but is finding himself in a situation where he must rely on cloudhymn more than he's used to.

TL;DR He is an alien dragon twink that hatched from an egg who is simultaneously a nonagenarian and a teenage boy and my stance on the matter changes depending on whichever is funnier. Nobody has asked him how old he is yet.

On a more serious note, He is a quiet, responsible person who isn't disruptive, so cr that is not deterred by that is welcome and necessary. He is very good with a spear, but does not have competitive jock energy, so I think getting stuck with competitive jocks who want to fight him would be FUNNY, as a Situations. He has no desire to hide the fact that he is from Outer Space and is unperturbed by Aliens in general (CUZ HE IS ONE), and has an approximate knowledge of many things (but not fixing elevators,) we can probably come up with something. People who would notice weird non-human things about him and would ask him about it are especially welcome.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: I'm open to anything, but I do have legitimate concerns about overwhelming myself. I super dropped the ball in November by overestimating how much I could manage in October, and I am very wary of it happening again. I also know that quiet, reserved characters can be underwhelming to thread off of without Situations to put them in and I am not always good at COMING UP WITH The Situations.

I'd like to do more Ocean Things with him going forward, once I get my groove on. CHARACTER INFORMATION: Joshua is the chronically ill but stubbornly active younger brother of Clive Rosfield, the exiled and supposedly dead Archduke of Rosaria, and he turns into a big fuck-off firebird. He's great with fire magic, he's a badass healer, and he's also a massive history nerd whose hobbies consist of climbing through ruins and chasing down rare books. Keep his brother's name out ya damn mouth. Sweet and extremely intelligent, but is also obstinate af and WILL get his way. Thankfully, he's only pushy about Important Things, and will listen to good advice even if he doesn't always follow it.

Lucifer has been coasting a bit. He Did the Work in the Nether and very much liked it out there. As much as it pains him he's working on making a "friend" out of Mace Hemmet because he's the closest to the queen but god he Does Not Want To.

Lucifer offers combat lessons in the mornings (he lost his joint sometimes-teacher and he's still Upset About It often) to Thorne Summoned and a small handful of guards. Short swords/daggers, hand-to-hand, spears more recently. Can be found gardening around the castle and attending intermediary to higher-level enchantment classes. He's an introvert but he's seen regularly with his partner Istredd, and sometimes Wilhelm or Kyle he's going to be missing Kell.

If he's in the Horizon he's usually perched up somewhere on the shelves of Istredd's domain, or hidden in the trees of Wanda's. But he appreciates anytime someone marvels at his own. He has a guestbook now. Sorry it's anti-slander, he knows better.

Lucifer's primary goal is nuking Thorne's Crown (he doesn't like Cages, okay), but not at the cost of Thorne losing the control they have over keeping the Singularity intact. He'll make allies in places that aren't the three main factions and if they raze the continent, so what, it's probably deserved.

CR YOU WANT: Any and everything. Lucifer is generally guarded and/or an asshole on first meeting someone, though he'll keep the Thorne Summoned........... relatively out of danger (within reason, and he won't tell them that) and cares little about anyone else unless he can see how they'll be useful to him.

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Claude is a former ruling duke and military commander who comes from the end of the Verdant Wind route of FE3H where the nation he led won the war. Due to time and route differences, he may say something different about Fodlan and what happened there from FE3H castmates. While he's very outwardly friendly or overly casual or irreverent, he keeps most everyone at arm's length and uses that occasionally insincere friendliness as a shield since trust is a major stumbling block for him. He's sharp, observant, and not afraid of taking on any challenges or doing what he believes to be the right thing. On the flip side, he can be manipulative, evasive, stubborn, and generally annoying or difficult to deal with when he feels like it. Claude can be won over with puzzles, a board game, and/or a good meal, and though he keeps his own interests in mind, he's loyal to and protective over those important to him.

CR YOU WANT:

● Friends, new and old! He's intentionally difficult to get to know at first, but he'd sure like to learn everything about you you're willing to share. He could also be a mentor, depending, and gravitates towards people who also have outsider vibes.
● People to chat philosophy or worldviews with. Claude's morals are less flexible than they appear, and given that he went through a war at home and is staring one down here then getting into that with others who'd be willing to share is something he'd like a lot. Disagreements in this with conflicting views work too!
● Research partners! His current interests are are mainly botany based, including gardening helpful and potentially dangerous plants. A main goal of his is to support the Free Cities citizens through this somehow. Thanks to Viktor, Claude also currently has some small scale farming things going on up on the roof/terrace of the Femblems' loft for other fellow botany enthusiasts.
● Coworkers! Whether that's those who work with Viktor where Claude manages the Aquila operations currently or at one of his many merchant jobs that I'll someday submit NPC info for, I'm up for anything.
● I'm open to just about anything and also good with using anything as a starting point for something else, including handwaving basic intro stuff to start further in or deepening existing CR.
● Possible plans for the event coming up are always welcome!

● Would you like to trade canon magic? Wind magic is more Claude's specialty but he also knows a couple healing magic spells all of which are Fodlan's magic. They're ones that he would be happy to trade knowledge of for your character's knowledge or simply teach. Also, he's interested in finding a magic tutor to finally start learning what Abraxan magic he can while here. He's learned some smaller spells on his own but would love to work with someone who knows what they're doing with a particular interest in conjuring things and transformation.
● Does your character have multiple timelines, universes, etc. and would they like to chat about it? I'm up for including this as a topic inside a thread where something else is going on if it's easier to make it not the main focus.
● Politics! He tried to avoid that for a while in favor of observing closely and recent events have solidified a need for getting involved in his mind. Claude is currently one of the Free Cities representatives for the Summoned Conclave through the next vote and was mostly open about his past experience from home. However, he's started to think it would be best if the Free Cities had some changes and would like to (quietly) look into that more than he's been casually doing.
● Adjacent to that - research on the Singularity and factions! Through chatting with CR he's finally started looking into the Free Cities' side to find out some of the thoughts on the Singularity and how they differ from Thorne. His own feelings on the Singularity are mostly ambivalent but asking's (and other conversations) made him curious about how it affects them being here and what a change, destruction of it, whatever else mean for the Summoned.
● Claude is also looking to get involved with supporting charities or some type of charitable work. He's been volunteering with orphanages ever since the attack on Libertas and assisted in infirmaries immediately after it, and would like to continue with causes meant to help Free Cities citizens. He's got a vague idea of linking his botany interests to some kind of farming if anyone would be interested in potentially teaming up as a likely very long-term plan since it's in initial theoretical stages.
● Are you also staying in Abraxas? Having been here for a year and a half Claude's recognized that being here is some kind of permanent. I like to say she's chaotic good, heavy on the chaotic side and tends to be very blunt despite how overtly friendly she can be. She is a powerful mage in her homeworld who is skilled in both white and black magicks. Fishing and dragon enthusiast. "I'm a healer, but" meme.

CR YOU WANT: Any and all! Himeka is the sort of person who will talk to literally anyone. And everyone tends to start with a +5 friendship bonus with her as well. She's very trusting. But as for specifics...

CHARACTER INFORMATION: An orphan for as long as she can remember, Nadine had a crummy childhood involving various foster homes, Catholic run children's homes, and also being claimed by Stephen King's version of Satan's Right Hand Man (Randall Flagg) as his future bride. Which happened when she was 12 and sort of ruled her life until she was in her late 30s and a super plague wiped out most of humanity. She lived a very solitary life without friends or much else aside from her career - elementary school teacher. Then things got even worse and she did some regrettable stuff in the service of Randall Flagg including gather a body count, actually married him, and then ended up here.

Where she is now free of Flagg's influence, and has been for a while now. She's trying hard to find herself and forge a life she can be happy with and proud of. It's still difficult for her, but she's making an effort.

In Abraxas she's studied Academic Magic, though it's more a hobby than a serious pursuit. She's a medical student in her third year at the Academy of Medicine and a practicing apothecary - she has a commercial medical research and retail license - with a clinic in Cadens. She shares a house with Julie Lawry and the pair of them have recently founded Vegas Botanicals, a cannabis line available in the clinic and Nocwich on Nocwich weekends. But she has sales reps in Solvunn also! She's going into general practice, but she has surgical training and experience and is here to handle all the medical needs of the Free Cities Summoned. Including non-human Summoned! More on that below.

She's involved in a committed but open relationship with Jaskier, and has been starting to branch out in her experiences - she also has a physical relationship with Julie, and has dabbled in some casual encounters. With her childhood and pre-Abraxas life how it was, she missed out on a lot of common experiences and milestones.

She's friendly and amicable on the surface, but very slow to trust and bond deeply with others. Loves kids and automatically Moms at younger characters. Lots of dark and disturbing themes in her past. But she's mostly trying hard to be a better person here.

CR YOU WANT: Love Nadine meeting other people who have been touched by darkness or made regrettable decisions in their past. Even now she has a lot of stuff to work out and that she struggles with. Always love throwing her at youths, she gets along very well with teens and young people. Particularly of the damaged variety, as she was a damaged kid herself and spent most of her adult life working with children.

Absolutely interested in other healers/medical type characters, she's really thrown herself into medicine. Her medical career means a lot to her and she is trying to learn all that she can.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Open to pretty much anything, but I do not enjoy negative CR that comes out of nowhere.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Like I mentioned, Nadine's journey to becoming a doctor is pretty big, so that's always a theme I'm interested in. And also her finally accepting how crappy most of her life was and dealing with a lot of unresolved issues regarding things she's done and things that have happened to her re: the apocalypse and dark magical forces. She's started working through it, but there's still a lot to deal with. And I love me some found family stuff.

She has recently started thinking about ways to combine both her magical abilities and her traditional medical practice. And for any non-human characters, one of her private side projects is working on medicine and medical techniques designed specifically for non-humans. Give her some blood, and she can make you drugs! Including literal ones, she is also working on cannabis that will effect vampires directly! So if you have a vampire that wants to smoke weed, Nadine can help.

And also just her continuing to work out who she is without a powerful dark entity constantly in her head.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Thancred is part of an organization called the Scions of the Seventh Dawn who are dedicated to protecting the realm of Eorzea (and beyond) while not being tied to any one nation, allowing them to not be beholden to political obligations. They do things like fight primals (false gods), save the realm from ancient beings who want to bring about calamities, and lots of other fun stuff. Thancred is particularly skilled in espionage, so he is here for infiltration, reconnaissance, subterfuge, survivalism... the list goes on. He comes off as cocky and charming at first glance, but in reality holds himself to a very high standard where he's constantly trying to prove himself, womp womp. He has gone through some character development in that arena and also had to learn how to be a dad.

CR YOU WANT:
• Thancred is pretty amiable and will strike up a conversation quite easily with just about anyone, though sometimes it might be for an ulterior motive. He might not be 100% open about himself at first, but he also isn't completely a closed book.
• THORNE PALS, COME AT ME. I'm gotta-catch-em-all with my Thorne buds.
• He enjoys exploring in the Horizon, so any sort of run-in there is always an option.
• Sparring/training partners are always fun!
• While Thancred is still not happy with the Queen and feels like something should be done, he's reevaluating how to handle that and might instead consider helping Nott look into how to secede because deposing/assassination might just make things worse right now.
• Despite all his sneaky stuff, he also fills the tank role, so if you need someone to jump into a fight and take some hits, he's your guy.
• Other dads/parents in general! Let him talk about his daughter. Conversely, he might have a soft spot for teenage girls because he misses Ryne every day.
• Thancred's very close to Himeka and Urianger, so anyone who is also close to them (or, conversely, who has negative CR with them) is bound to get the third degree from him. Or he'll at least be curious about them.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing that I can think of, to be honest! I'm down for just about anything, including negative CR if things go that direction. Just expect Thancred to get real sassy if that happens, he doesn't hold back.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: A long-term goal of Thancred's is to try and destabilize the crown and Ellya's power, or whatever the source of that power may be, so we'll see where this plot goes! As mentioned above, he is pulling back on this a bit and would like to take a more gradual approach with the threat of the Free Cities gaining too much power sitting in the back of his mind. He might instead try to see if he can help Nott secede.

He is not at all be opposed to the idea of feeding out information from Thorne to other factions at this point, and has had a meeting with some Free Cities Summoned about keeping each other in the loop about their respective factions. Basically he's doing what he can from the shadows to uncover Thorne's secrets and hopefully do something about them. To that end, he recently poked around the Old Emberwoods village in Nott and found some interesting details regarding the "new day," including a mention of Oliver, one of the mages who helped some Summoned escape Thorne waaaay back. So I need to follow up on that and dig into it a bit more, but I wanted to mention it here in case others are interested in these threads!

Lastly, he has a vested interest in the old gods and potentially doing something about them if they turn out to be a threat to people's safety. This is just part and parcel with what he did as a Scion, so he's always keeping at least one eye on that.

He will also most assuredly be going back to the island during this upcoming event.
