Important Announcements
Changes to the August Application Round
Due to how close the game is to cap, the next application round will be open to current players only. We'll post the TDM and open applications as usual, but will not be accepting new players. Applications will be open for new players again in October, provided we drop below 5 slots.
Closure of Fortunes
Because of changes to the direction of the game, we've made the decision to close Fortunes. We will leave the possibility of them returning during set events in the future, but will not be processing submissions as a regular part of the game. Thank you for your understanding! We will retain the link to the page so you can still reference your fortunes.
OOC Notices
Event Forecast
June's event will take place primarily in the physical world. Players should be prepared for some changes in the territories. Please note that due to the nature of this event, cross-border interactions outside of the Horizon will be unlikely.
Plot Engagement Reopening
Plot Engagement is now open again!
Free Cities Hall Name
An IC vote that will decide the name of the newly restored hall will be held HERE. Votes will affect the will of the city. Please read the information first and have your character contribute if they will do so. New arrivals are encouraged to participate.
Voting closes JULY 6TH 11:59 ET.
Summoned Conclave
Representatives | Link
New representatives must be chosen during this meeting. Any Summoned who want to hold their current positions need to resubmit their bid. New arrivals can submit themselves as a candidate if they wish. A bid as a candidate can also be submitted on behalf of another character, as long as OOC player permission is obtained.
Motions Sanctioned | Link
Motions from the previous meeting have been passed for Thorne and the Free Cities. Thorne has agreed to allow any trusted Summoned who has lived in the Castle for at least 30 days to stay in Nott overnight. While the crown will not place formal restrictions on the frequency, the Summoned should try to keep their overnight stays to reasonable amounts - roughly once a week or so. The Free Cities has agreed to help fund a dedicated medical clinic at the Farhill Mining Camp to begin with. Additional medical clinics may be set up at other mining sites in the future once the initial project has been deemed a success.
Special Motion (Free Cities) | Link
The Free Cities Conclave may optionally participate in a vote to select one of three shortlisted names for a new rental hall constructed in Aquila. For details, see the Free Cities interlude section.
World Events
All Territories
Epulum | LinkNear the end of the month, Ikorr finally opened its doors, inviting the Summoned to a grand carnivale called Epulum. When a mysterious crime is uncovered partway through the night, events continue to spiral, resulting in the gruesome death of the culprit. Tensions rise further when Luna demanded Ikorr hand over a powerful artifact. Oleuni Square closes for the next four months.
Tempest | LinkA strange presence makes itself known as the Summoned return home. Not long after, unusual storms break out across Abraxas. The unusual horizontal lightning appears to originate from the Singularity. In Nott, Admiral Rudolph Sidwell arrives from Borrel to build a naval base in exchange for resources to help the lakeside town.
Emergence | LinkA myriad of storms plagues the land. All nations come to the same conclusion: the Singularity is angry. To quell the chaos as quickly as possible, the Summoned are brought to the crater and thrown inside, whether they agreed to it or not. Three weeks go by before the Summoned reemerge, having spent three months in an alternate future 800 years in the future where the Summoned have ascended to godhood.
Plot Interactions and Developments
Kingdom of Thorne
All | LinkAdmiral Rudolph Sidwell, Lady Lia SidwellAdmiral and Lady Sidwell have come to stay at Castle Thorne with their young son to help the Kingdom and show support for the royal family. Admiral Sidwell is Queen Ellya's uncle, and Lady Sidwell is said to get along well with King Brydan. During their stay, the Admiral dismissed castle staff for reasons of budget, allocation of resources, and claims of treason. Rumors claim the King is unhappy with the changes, though he's publically demonstrated his support.
The Free Cities
All | LinkFallon MarshA fundraiser for victims of the storms is held in an old castle that has been recently restored, attended by public figures such as Fallon Marsh and beneficiaries. Currently, there's a contest for citizens to name the new hall. The final vote will be held this month. Rumors of soldiers organizing outside of Aquila are circulating as well, but there's no clear evidence of where they're going or what they're doing.
Solvunn Commune
All | LinkEdda Hagen, Winifred BordeauxA traveling healer named Edda Hagen has come to stay in the Primary Settlement to assist with the fallout of the storms. She specializes in working with animals and is well-liked by the community. She and Winifred get along well and have been in many private meetings. It is also believed that Winifred may be planning to retire from her teaching position, but these rumors are unconfirmed.

Character Name Zoya Nazyalensky.
Links & Reasoning Zoya acknowledges that she's a new arrival to Thorne (without saying that she's a new abductee) and that while it may appear like she's being quite presumptuous believing she could be a representative of a group of people while being new, she would present:
She says this with unwavering confidence (that may be intimidating???). It's almost like she's been here all this time.
Zoya will answer any questions, giving enough of an answer to be satisfying. (She will not reveal the name of her king—that's a secret! 🤫) She does not thank anyone for their time; she's just not that kind of person.

Character Name Jerry Pascal, aka Rob Boss, aka Rick James
Links & Reasoning When only one other Summoned volunteers to run for representative, Jerry gets the brain weasels. Lurching up from his chair, he marches to the front, snatches whatever magic microphone or talking stick is being used, and it starts like this:
Jerry: Vote for me for President.
Meeting organizer: Representative.
Jerry: Gesundheit.
Jack Townsend, from the back: Why?
Jerry: Because.
Jack: No.
And so, Jerry embarks on a long, winding, yet strangly moving speech. it starts with the mathematical concept of the axiom of choice and Alain Badiou's discussion of set theory and how math directly informs ontology - the study of existence. a person, as a multiplicty, is people/humanity, but set theory involves a strict prohibition on self-belonging; a set cannot contain or belong to itself, thus a single man running for president (representative) cannot be seperated from humanity, for we are all one, and what benefits one element of the set benefits all elements within the set. somehow, this feeds into government, which includes a short lecture on communism and socialism for all those not from earth, and rounds out to a tale of his latest vision quest, in which a oppossum made of pure starlight read him his destiny: to alievate suffering from the troubled masses, be a slightly above average leader of dudes (gender neutral), and become a famous hair model on instagram. In takes about 10 minutes, and the organizer tries to stop him several times, but he dodges them like Ronaldo going for a goal. It ends with "Jerry out". He holds out the talking stick and drops it like a mic.
Jerry claims of relevant experience:
- Knows the castle guards on an intimate, personal level
- Befriended the kitchen staff through the art of friendship soup making
- Aided the library staff in creative new ways to shelve books
- He's a gifted story teller and motivational speaker
- Public art installation (the zen rock garden mentioned at the end of his network post, created with exclusively dick shaped rocks)

Character Name The Doctor
Links & Reasoning When he first speaks, the Doctor will be quick to glowingly remark on what an extraordinary job Claude, Steve, and Astarion have done in recent months with improving circumstances for the people of this world. He fully believes they could carry on quite splendidly as they have done, but he'll offer his name for the running to give any one of them a chance to catch their breath if they like. If he hasn't talked your ear off about it yet, the Doctor will explain that his experience over the last while — give or take a few centuries — traversing space and time and all points in between has given him a wealth of knowledge he can put to use navigating all manner of conversations, facilitating dialogue and open communication, building bridges and alliances. He fundamentally believes in his duty of care, to help where and when he can, and he'll mention that he's grown close and forged bonds with many of the local orphanage caretakers and children. He wouldn't know the meaning of staying still, so he's kept busy studying at the Academy of Knowledge, helping students with tutorial sessions, joining efforts to keep vulnerable residents safe during the storms. He's spent time recently since the storms moved through
volunteering at Portam Hall, keeping himself known among local officials here. He'd like to put more focus into science and engineering and environmental advancements — such as water purification and renewable energy — in collaboration with the brilliant scientific minds among others Summoned here.
He'll thank everyone for their time and suggest they should all really get together like this more often, pity they don't, he loves seeing everyone. He'll bring pastries next time! It's been a lot lately, hasn't it, it really has — see him on the way out the door if you need a hug, a handshake, a high five, a pep talk, words of affirmation, or questionable advice.

Character Name Julia Wicker
Links & Reasoning Julia has been in the commune for a few months now and she's been trying to be as helpful as possible. She brought to life the Endrborrin shrine and has been trying to maintain it since everything went down. She's been offering to train people in magic and characters in Solvunn may already be learning from her! She was visible during the storm knocking twisters off the trails they were on and she joined Aloy's hunting group.
She'll say that she wants the best for Solvunn and everyone in it and she would like to prove that by trying out being a rep. She brought flowers with her, vivid beautiful ones, that she'll hand out to people.

Character Name Wrench
Links & Reasoning While he will readily acknowledge that he has no interest in politics, the Summoned’s recent time spent as Gods have motivated him to action. Particularly after what he experienced as the so-appointed “Guardian of the Condemned.” Wrench’s particular interest comes from his desire to see those in the Tertiary Settlement acknowledged and further integrated into Solvunn’s commune. He’ll grant that yes, some of them were cast out because either they or other members of their families committed crimes. He’s well aware of this because Cadaevos granted him the power to sense the auras of those who have done wrong, and that power has further increased of late. But even so, it’s no help to whatever kind of society these people are trying to create or the inter-territory war they’re trying to avoid if Solvunn just denounces and ignores a third of its population. He’d like to work to help resource the Tertiary Settlement and find ways to re-integrate its members who are willing and interested.

Character Name Nebula
Links & Reasoning
Admittedly, Nebula doesn't - She doesn't make a strong declaration as why she'd make a good representative (was she forced up here? no). As serious ever, she doesn't give too many words but does deliver a promise: To do her best to make sure all people of Solvunn are taken care of.
She won't linger unless requested and if asked she'd say: Continuing rebuilding efforts and farm/crops take priority after all of the storms. She will also say that all people that reside in the commune (in every village) deserve to be protected and if someone can't she will. She's probably pretty fierce about that even if she will say those who harm others should be dealt with.
Partly, she wants to continue to help increase the safety and accessibility of travel between the settlements. But also to provide aid for the aftermath of things.
Linking her influence request just because it offers a summary: While Nebula is not necessarily an openly friendly presence - she's not! - she has made an open attempt to help around the settlements and if someone's needed help with hunting/repairs has helped for long hours. While not necessarily super conversational, she's probably known for hearing what someone wants and just getting it done if someone asks without saying anything...
She's like this sorry.
