CHARACTER INFORMATION: Link is an amnesiac elf (Hylian) who woke up in his underoos in a shrine one day to the sound of a mysterious voice, telling him that he is the Chosen Hero destined to save the world. He is every "hero" trope you can think of: courageous, kind, selfless, utterly dedicated to the cause. This iteration of Link is also a teenager learning how to have fun again after a 100 year nap! I.e., he is a reckless idiot who will eat almost anything, join any contest, and climb any height, all while trying not to think about the part where all his friends are dead and it's more or less his fault for dying during the apocalypse. He's semi-feral in the literal sense, in that he has spent most of his new lifetime fighting for survival in the woods.

He's never had to question who he trusts. I'd love to see him befriend people who turn out to be not as "good" as he'd assumed they were (he's a dummy who's going to assume the people he meets are good unless they obviously are Not), and/or who end up on opposite sides of conflict.

How would he like philosophical debates with a monster hunter.
Geralt does not especially hide that he kills ~monsters, but he's visibly not quite human himself and also has a habit of making friends with the occasional sentient creature, including vampires, so he's a little, uh. Atypical in that regard.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Local dhampir had a bad time of his mother getting murdered, dad trying to commit genocide, then nearly getting murdered himself after getting positive affection for the first time in a while. Then he was imprisoned by Thorne! He's...had a time of it.
Since getting to the Free Cities, a lot of Alucard's anger issues at Thorne have managed to die down (but they're still there.) He's now dwelling in the depression pit, and planning to take an extended nap once he builds the right in-crypt support system. In the mean time, he's been doing odd jobs including cooking to earn coin and keep his head above water.
CR YOU WANT: Alucard's started to let out his trauma in drips and drabs to people (mostly those who he suspect won't judge him too harshly.) I'd like to continue this, but I'd also love for people to poke at the wound that is being here in the first place/tapping into that low simmering anger at Thorne for imprisonment etc. Angrycard is a genuinely enjoyable thing to write, and it'd be a way to engage with factions.

Magicians in Kalvad are Talented individuals capable of manipulating Tamed Arcane energy via a complicated mathematical system. When he was still practicing, Ralston was essentially a highly sought out Magical Statistician working for the Imperial government to predict threats to the Realm. In his early twenties, he used his abilities to collaborate on a high risk political plot that got him and his collaborators charged with treason. His collaborators got the noose, and he got sent to magic prison where his ability to manipulate the tamed arcane was broken. Blahblahblah, spent fifteen years in magic prison, and now is BACK FOR REVENGE—or would be if he hadn't been yoinked into Abraxas. You can find more info about his native setting HERE or read his app HERE if for some ungodly reason you're really that curious.
Generally: Ralston is a surly misanthrope who at least acts like he expects to get his way. Sarcasm and spite are his closest friends. Due to having his Talent broken, he is completely incapable of practicing any form of magic (including the magic native to Abraxas, which also means he finds passage to Horizon more easily done in the company of other Summoned) and suffers some physical side effects which require him to motor around with a cane. He's currently living in Thorne, having made himself somewhat unpopular with the castle staff by being smart mouthed with Jolene. But that's fine he never liked them anyway!!
CR YOU WANT: Politics, sneaky bastards, and people who you want to be taken advantage of by sneaky bastards. Ralston is currently in Thorne working to get enough info on taming the Singularity's power to run off and go do it himself first on the suspicion that it will restore his connection to magic, and he's willing to be a cut throat little bastard about it.
Negative and/or combative CR is some of my favorite—frenemies, rivals, unlikely allies! I know it's not everyone's thing though, so if you ever want to pump the breaks and plot stuff out to swerve around negative CR, I'm more than happy to chat about it oocly so we can figure out something that's more fun for both of us to pursue.
More generally, magic users, nerds, academics, people who won't put up with his shit and people who, against all odds, will. Ralston is a very goals oriented person moreso than he is a 'lets talk about ourselves and our personal problems' person, so more externally-focused subject matter is probably the best "in" with him in terms of building CR.

I offer Cloud as tribute. Cloud's not exactly an idiot, and pretty suspicious from the off, but he can certainly be manipulated and should Micheal find worth in doing so, he could get a fightytype to compensate for his lack of magic until he works something out.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Rinwell is a young lady from Dahna, a world that was conquered and has been under the thumb of their nearest planetary neighbour Rena for the last 300 years, and she's pretty damn bitter about it. She grew up in the frozen north of her world, Cyslodia, and is pretty secretive and suspicious. However, she is also Dahnan with a rather unusual secret: she is capable of casting astral artes (aka magic), something believed previously to only be possible by the Renans, and little more than an old folk tale amongst the natives (if that). The new movie did him really dirty and I think I can do better than a random monster who shows up to be fought by Original McCharacter (Plz Don't Steal).
CR YOU WANT: Adversaries! Goro's here to make problems on purpose, but they don't necessarily have to be in the arena. As a prince, he's also versed in a form of military diplomacy so you could easily find him across the negotiating table. Or people who are likewise up to no good who might be able to cut Goro a better deal than what he's getting from the Free Cities. He's not terrifically easy to "befriend" per se, but if you get on his good side by showing respect and deference he might be persuaded to come to your aide or help you out. I should mention he distrusts magic-users though, since sorcerers where he's from tend to be even bigger assholes than you normally find in Outworld.

- Corruption because the road to hell is paved with good intentions. In Alina's quest to become powerful enough to defeat the Darkling, does she lose sight of her moral lines? Anyway give it to me.
- Related, power as a seductive, alluring element that makes her feel like her real self, and becoming the thing you claim to hate.
- Manipulation and betrayal. Alina is ripe for being a target of this, so I think there is a lot of potential to build up trust only for it to result in a betrayal. Please, I would love it.
- Lying and half truths, to Alina or even from Alina. I would love IC conflict to result from Alina intentionally obscuring something.
- Individual agency and the horrible consequences of being a legend, or what it's like to have stories told about what you ought to be instead of what you are, struggling with the feeling that your acceptance, love, and worth is dependent on what you can do for someone else. She probably needs some help overcoming this. Potentially exploring this on both an individual level and as a group (e.g., acceptance of the Grisha in her home being dependent on the roles that they serve in society).
- Mercy and vengeance, when you know you should be the bigger person..... but also you really don't want to.
- Sainthood... and also the fact that she is probably a really bad saint.
Also, Alina is currently very confused about why Mal disappeared and then came back with amnesia so. That's fun.

She's determined and fearless and kind, but she puts the weight of the world on her own shoulders due to the past three years of her life. She'll go the extra mile to do all she can to save people, but she's incapable of realizing she needs to save herself, too. She's a WIP. And she has 3 dead parents!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Honestly, happy to keep one with Relena continuing to face and develop her own morality and her family's legacy vs the reality she's seen in its failings and successes. Also the idea of what she can be outside of politics and what she can do to protect people without having to Murder other people like she's continuously told she has to do so far. If she can find some guidance towards what she can be during a fight without sacrificing her principles, great. If people want to keep pushing her towards corrupting/destroying her beliefs, that's fine, but it's gonna take a long, long time there. She's steadfast and loyal to her pilots and what she's promised to give them.

Cloud Strife served in the Shinra military (yes, a megaconglomerate with a private army which post Wutai-war is the strongest military power in the world) as a first-class member of an elite unit called SOLDIER, before deserting the Company in order to pursue life as a mercenary for hire to anyone with the means of paying him. He's gruff, no-nonsense, cold, sarcastic and jaded, and as soon as your money's out, he's out.
Except he wasn’t. And he isn't.
In actuality, Cloud was a nobody. He was a grunt in Shinra's infantry and honestly? Had a really, really, really bad time of things. A mixture of trauma both recent and unaddressed, low self-esteem and underlying mental health issues (not to mention human experimentation) meant that when Something Really Really Bad happened, he snapped and disassociated entirely. He fabricated a whole new history for himself based on a loved one's dying words, as well as an entirely new personality which he genuinely believes to be his own.
And he's an ecoterrorist now. There's that too.
Underneath all of that, he's actually pretty sweet, genuinely caring, and extremely (mentally) unwell. Handle with care... or don't. Your call.
CR YOU WANT: - Idiots. Anyone that can lead him to (fun!) no good and break down his walls a little, I need you. He takes himself way too seriously and I want him to defrost.

Easily influenced as long as she doesn't think you're manipulating her/thinks she's aware of it and therefore can't be sucked into it (false).

- Enablers! Or Disablers, she's got all her adults telling her to stay away from crimes and largely she's staying low but she does want to do something Big to feel like she's in control of a situation.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: yuri is a former knight who became disillusioned with the empire's lack of compassion towards its own people and quit. he's one of those dudes who comes off as flippant and sarcastic but actually cares a lot! way too much! he tends to adopt people and become super ride or die for them. he's also a sucker for underdogs. he grew up as a poor orphan in his world's capital city, so he has an issue with the rich and authority figures in general. he believes he can help people more easily working outside of the system than inside of it, and also totally kills some rich nobles when the law lets them go. scandalous! he views himself as a villain dirtying his hands so that the real heroes (his friends) can make lasting change. also, he's kind of an adrenaline junkie who likes fighting, and tends to tease his friends to death. he really needs a strong unit of friends and allies around him to make him the best version of himself.
CR YOU WANT: friends! enemies! anything and everything! yuri's a found family guy, so i'd love to build a core group like that. he's also the type that needs people to rein in his more intense methods, so those type of characters would be great, too!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: i'm definitely down for yuri being forced to work within the power structures that exist, and for getting him to the place where he's so invested in this world that he's more focused on helping the people here than getting back home. messy questions about morality are great, too. yuri's morality is very much gray and he tends towards vigilantism, but in his canon his choices almost always make things better. i'd love for him to, say, try to take down someone the law won't deal with and make things worse, or cause collateral damage, or damage cr, or whatever. that's probably much farther down the line, though!
