ABOUT YOU: Still in Oz hell, sorry. Finished reading Leviathan Falls so I'm just mentally bouncing around any and all canon points of The Expanse too, sorry. Also the Flames are supposedly good this year?? So those are the three things I care about, I think.

CHARACTER NAME: Amos Burton
CANON: The Expanse
SIGN: The Lovers
FACTION: Solvunn, but hopefully not for much longer

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Amos is a spaceship mechanic from sometime in the 2350s or so who had an incredibly traumatic childhood that's resulted in a permanently broken moral compass. Thing is, he doesn't want to be that way — and even though the damage has been done to him, he does his best to mitigate it by identifying people he perceives as righteous and doing his best to follow them. He's kind of like a stoic bro who can be difficult to get in with, but once he's decided you're one of his people he'll do pretty much anything for you.
CR YOU WANT: Amos has a very simplistic way of categorizing people: bad ones, ones you follow, and ones you need to protect. All three are swell.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: No romance.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: WELL... I'm a little in flux right now since Oz basically knocked me out of commission for the past two months (and how!). I'm waiting for the event info post to go up before I hit up the mods about finally getting Amos to move his ass to the Free Cities, since it's a much better fit for him (I knew it would be; Solvunn was basically a fun little detour based on IC-only knowledge at the time, and I'm ready to move on from this mini mostly-off-screen arc I've had going here). So any meeting-in-Solvunn CR might be DOA, sorry!

I'll know more once I actually... hit up the mods... soon... about what Amos' arrival in the Free Cities should be like, but I'm anticipating there might be a bit of notoriety to go along with it. I dunno! This is the most useless CR meme comment ever! I just know for sure I don't want it to be a smooth transition; it shouldn't be. But if you're up for any meeting-in-Free Cities stuff yeah it can probably be swung.

Otherwise, if your character's interested in space or whatever, Amos' Horizon domain is very much space. So I'm down for anything there.

ANYTHING ELSE?: perpetually vibrating over Leviathan Falls stuff but can't go into it here obviously those are very fresh massive spoilers so

well then he's just gonna have to hear about it one way or another!! dude hasn't really been in a good place at all since he got here. kinda like a slow pressure build, you feel (I WILL LET YOU KNOW, FIRST ON MY LIST)

oh Sam isn't even going to have to insist, if he offers Amos'll immediately just be like. yup. I'm bunking with you now. he's a good roommate though; clean, quiet, earns his keep, good company if you're already friends

GOD YES PLEASE he just got over his "this is my friend waIT THATS SOME BAD SHIT HOLD ON" with geralt which means sam is going to be complicated but NOT blow up their friendship over it. it'll be swell.

and yes listen okay good i feel like sam needs a good roommate too? because before it was all kids and then he was Alone so having a Good Clean Friendly Roommate will do wonders for him (in addition to all the other stuff amos will help sam with).

Amos has never had the chance to fill such a specific niche before, wow... and he thought he was the only one getting something out of this relationship. dang

he will be very thankful when Sam points out his fuckups to him though yes. thank you for keeping him in line dude. you're his moral compass now, no pressure

no but they should. meet at some point. esp if he's gonna be around Kaer Morhen looking for Geralt on occasion, Ciri actually shares the domain and may be around sometime!

honestly... maybe?? like she's clearly an adult but still young so. he. might?? Amos actually can take to the uncle role if the cr calls for it, yes. he's got that protective streak in him. doesn't matter if she can easily defend herself/is more powerful than he is, he's still got that protective streak

but yeah, now that he knows Geralt AND Jaskier they gotta meet! something in the midst of the aftermath of Geralt's grand adventure/Amos physically arriving in the Free Cities seems like a good bet, I think, though the Horizon's an option, too! since he'll have been to Geralt's domain a fair bit by now and maybe become a little too familiar with it whoops

I'm canonblind to The Witcher so that'll make the two of us going into this blind at first but aaaahh please enjoy it's so great. and yeah this looks like it'd be interesting CR without the Geralt and Jaskier factor to begin with, but with them involved, even if only in spirit?? the potential. it's there

yes!! whenever I get the ball going on Free Cities stuff I should probably ping people so you are on that list. and we'll see what might crop up, haha, but things are gonna happen, guaranteed

Space!! Oh thank god, more space. Yes, they absolutely should! Look at the different directions their universes have gone in regarding space travel/colonization. Or maybe his is just behind, who knows.

I'll have to look out for her whenever he gets to the Free Cities! Alternatively, whenever Inara makes her way to the Horizon, his part of it is Very Extremely Space (I've got a mini description written at the top of his inbox) so she might recognize what that's all about too, haha. Amos might also be a little drawn to her because, well, I'm canonblind, but from what you wrote about Companions... let's just say that kind of occupation isn't totally foreign to him.
