Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

Notable Actions
Submit notable actions that are likely to gain attention from other players, such as fights or disturbances.

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

Solvunn drive-by meetups @ the very end of week 2
At some point he also finds himself surrounded by a gaggle of curious children leading around (or possibly being led by) a small goat. As he anxiously waits for his other companions he stands in the middle of the children, doing little parlour tricks and juggling the little crystal berries that the Singularity has seen fit to gift him with as a conjuring ability. ]
( ooc: for folks moving through Solvunn who might want to say hello to cross faction friends but can't commit to a full thread or ICly wouldn't have time for much more than a hug before moving on. anyone is free to jump in! )

She’s enroute to Wanda’s farmhouse, her bags floating behind her (thanks, Perry!) when she spots someone she hadn’t expected to see. And being led by a goat no less. ]
Were the goats too much to pass up on?
no subject
Have you already met the goats? You should know then... [ In person, Kahlil looks a bit different than how he's been appearing in Horizon. The weariness is more readily apparent from the hint of dark circles beneath his eyes. He gives her a smile, though. He nods toward the floating bags with a wry look. ]
Are you moving in?
no subject
Hm, these? It's just an extra change of clothes, and some gifts. Oh! Speaking of... [ She roots around in one of the nearest bags extracting a nicely wrapped cloth bag. ] Tea! I packed extra just in case I ran into someone else I knew.
[ And Eddie doesn't exactly seem like the tea drinking sort. ]
no subject
Thank you. [ He seems genuinely touched - as much as he had been when Jack gave him the bundle of 'christmas' presents, and wishes he had the forethought to have brought something to gift in return.
He smiles at the cloth bag for a second before slipping it into a pocket and glancing up at her in question. ]
Are you hungry?
[ There's actually one thing he can offer her. ]
no subject
You'll have to let me know what kind of tea you prefer next time. There's an assortment in there but I'd rather give you teas that you like.
[ She immediately perks up at the mention of food. ]
Starving actually! [ All of this investigating worked up more an appetite than she thought it would. But if she were being honest with herself, it was more along the lines of her forgetting to eat that had become the problem. ] Are there cute restaurants here?
no subject
Rather than answering her next question, he flicks his wrist, and within his palm are some crystalline berries. He motions for her to open her palms so he can hand them over. ]
Be careful, they're very sweet!
[ And they'll disappear in an hour. But if she eats them she'll find that her hunger is gone, and feel a pleasant warmth. ]
no subject
You say that like it's a bad thing. I have a notorious sweet tooth.
[ 'Just ask Claude' is on the tip of her tongue but she stifles it by popping one of the berries into her mouth. The sweet juice of the berries pops in her mouth and she can't help but look absolutely delighted as she savours the taste of it. ]
These are so good, thank you Kyle! What kind of berries are they?
no subject
They're a gift from the Singularity. I find them in my domain -
[ 'Heyo! This way!' someone calls, and Kahlil turns to see the gaggle of children (along with their goat) have wandered off - the person calling over is an older man that seems to be motioning toward him to follow.
He turns to Hilda again: ]
It seems they're ready for me...
no subject
That is almost immediately combatted by a feeling of worry when Kyle says he has to go. The feeling is a familiar one, one that she's become accustomed to in times of war. It's a fear that it'll be the last time she sees someone — but she's learned to gracefully fold it under cheerfulness and a sheer stubbornness that thoughts like that had no place in her mind. But the fear still moves her and she reaches for him pulling him into a quick hug. ]
Keep safe, okay? And stay far away from any bad eggs you see.
no subject
He returns the quick embrace, gently patting her shoulder as they part and giving a surprised laugh. ]
I'll save them for our enemies.
no subject
I knew I recognized you.
[ Jerry doesn't interrupt the kids enjoying the magic tricks, but he does sneak up on Kyle after they've wandered away. The goat stays, grazing nearby. ]
no subject
[ His eyebrows raise, and for a split second there's a look of guilt across his features before he smothers it. ]
We think we know where they are. [ He brings some good news, at least. ]
no subject
Oh, shit, really?!
When are we leaving?
a day since his arrival
so excited she is about her discovery, that she startles when she sees kyle entering the library she had found a home in the past few days—in some dark corner of it towards the back.]
Kyle!
[there are no rules about being silent in libraries here, and she is happy to see him. hurried footsteps guide her up to him.]
You're here.
no subject
I hope I'm not interrupting. [ As she approaches he offers out both hands to hold hers in greeting. They've developed an odd kinship in this months despite having barely spent time in person together - it feels that way to him anyway, she knows more about his past than most. Up close there's a hint of telling dark circles beneath his eyes, but otherwise he seems fine. ]
Have you found something?
no subject
she will not be the one to pull her hands away from his.]
I have.
[something, yes.
they're so close to finding the others, with viktor's message about having located them. she just wants to make sure they get them all home safe.]
The practice of pacts with the Old Gods. [for herself, or at least she'll try—] I wonder if this is what they hope to attain.
no subject
That they might be attempting such a thing seems to disturb him, as it shows on his face.
He speaks quietly now, and not because they're in a library: ]
If they are - something like that could be difficult to break... if not impossible.
[ He knows from experience. ]
no subject
[and wanda is both someone with power and with something worth offering—her chaos magic, and all the probabilities and pain and grief forged within it. it's not hard to tell where her thoughts have strayed towards.
she pulls her hands onto her center, fingers held together.
kyle would know about pacts with gods, wouldn't he?]
...I have to try.
[she looks up at him, eyes unblinking, brimming with emotion but strong certainty.]
There is an Old God that I will seek.
no subject
Not just conduits, they might be intending their friends and loved ones as sacrifices.
He shakes his head. If she is worried he will try to tell her she is crazy for considering such a thing, or attempt to convince her not to - he's not going to be that person. And besides, he can see from her expression that she's made her decision. He frowns, touching his own chest: ]
I know this world isn't the same as mine, but - to serve a god, to be bound to one... you give over a part of yourself. You become theirs, an extension of them.
[ His bones are god's own bones. He trusts in Parfir's will to guide him. He believes the Singularity is part of that. But he knows little to nothing of these gods she seeks to make a pact with. A beat, then: ] Do you know which god you'll seek out?
no subject
I've been bound to a demon before, to the rulings of his Book of Shadows. An Old God cannot be worse than that.
[hopefully, she thinks.
wanda hopes that she's a lot smarter and keen than when the darkhold took advantage of her grief and pain.]
Soris Immaneus. Patron of Dark Blessings.
[—well—
she puts a hand to his, holds lightly onto his wrist.]
Tell no one of this. I will share with you what else I uncover when this is all over. I know you have an interest in the gods of this world.
no subject
She says the god's ominous name and touches his wrist. He nods again slowly. Maybe an old god is not worse than a demon. He would feel more certain if he understood these gods better, how they came to be in the world - if they did not create it themselves. That's the information he seeks. ]
I won't speak of it. [ He puts his hand over hers. They've shared secrets before. He wouldn't betray her about this, but - ] Just know that you aren't alone.
no subject
you aren't alone.
incredible how those words alone offer comfort.
reaching forward with her other hand, there's warmth in her touch.]
You wanted to speak with someone from the Council, right? We can meet in two hours here. I'll take you to Winifred. She'll answer the questions you have.
no subject
Kyle!
[ A smile, despite the grave tidings that have brought him to the place she now calls home. Several of the children look up and a few say "Hello, Miss Himeka!" She pats a little boy's head when she's close enough. ]
I see you've already become quite popular.
