Only the nerdiest! What better way to spend one’s time than frantically prying out every single tidbit of information about this world’s magic from every source one can get their hands on? It’s fine.

Sasarai here is a general/bishop with a sentient crystal inside him that is actually an earth deity. He's also very magic nerdy, having grown up in a giant library.

Around Thorne he is always trying to learn new things and he's a politics sort. They're bound to run into each other.

But yes! One of Stephen's haunts will likely be the library, so I think it's very reasonable they'll run into each other there. He might also prod a little information from him re: politics if he's willing to share.
