Mod Communications
If you have an idea related to the event plot, communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Randomization Request
Request a mod dice roll at any time for outcomes and consequences. Some actions require a dice roll to proceed, such as attacking an acolyte NPC or attempting to break anything major in the environment (chains, doors, walls). If you aren't sure, you can check with us.

Notable Actions
Submit notable actions that are likely to gain attention from other players, such as fights or disturbances.

IC Exchanges
Use this option for interactions you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For instance, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Investigations
Several investigation paths are available for characters to interact with. Each assignment group will have their own set of investigation paths. You can investigate something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Interacting with investigations might carry IC consequences. We'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something major. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

@ EVERYONE IN THE PIT; WEEK 1, DAYS 1-4
He positions himself in the center of the large main room, clears his throat, and projects his voice. ]
Hey, everyone, listen up.
[ Maybe not everyone will give him the time of day, but he'll make eye contact with whoever does, glancing around the large space at his fellow captives. ]
If we want to get out of this situation, we need to work together and we need to stay calm. Making sure that everyone has enough to eat and drink to keep their strength up is important. That means finding corn that's not rotten, digging for grubs, or hunting any of the small, edible animals around here and then cooking them. If anyone has the survival skills to do that, then let us know.
Water needs to be rationed out too. No one take more than they need, or we're going to have even bigger problems on our hands.
Focus on what you're good at. If you can fashion weapons for people, do that. If you want to search for any possible ways out, go for it. If you want to try and get answers out of the people that brought us here, I'm not gonna stop you. But let's all stay on the same page and we'll make it out of this.
[ He pauses then, giving a firm nod and then staying silent, opening the floor for anyone else to add their two cents. ]
(( ooc: There's no thread order here, so just go for it! Since people are trickling in over the course of days, he'll do a version of this when there's an influx of more captives (but probably a more abbreviated version over time). Don't think too hard about it. ))
Day 1
I'll help ration the water. I'm good at organizing.
[ It's the best he can offer, since none of this is really his strong suit. ]
no subject
He nods to the stranger (Istredd, he thinks he's heard others call him). ]
Thanks. If you run into any issues with it, let me know.
[ He doesn't mind playing mediator. ]
Day 4 - Exploring investigations convo
Everyone, we need to organize our search efforts. I've seen people go exploring, what have you found? Does anyone have something important to report on what they've found?
[ooc: feel free to reply to this with things your character has observed through their investigations!]
day 3ish he's tired of this same speech!!!
Great job, hero. Now you've planted two ideas into everyone's head -- to panic, and that we're gonna run outta water real quick. How long you think it'll take the locals to get ready to fight over it? Haven't you ever seen Mad Max?
drive by.
A lizard tail half in his mouth, he smacks Nero in the chest without a glance up. ]

Never got around to that one, actually.
[ But he's not here to exchange pop culture references. ]
There are some kids here. People who've never gone through anything approaching this.
[ He's doing it for them. ]
no subject
You really underestimate how shitty life is. Even for kids.
[And he sees kids here he knows. From Solvunn. Kids he knows have been in worse -- or participated in it.]
Standing around telling them everything might work out isn't gonna last. If they know better, they're not gonna believe you. You gotta give them somethin' to do. Promise, kids like being helpful. Even if it's asking them to keep your string bean with the water in line.
[He nudges his chin towards Istredd. Sorry, buddy, but you don't look equipped to deal with a water riot when it comes down to it.]
no subject
That's why I've been listing out tasks, but if you're volunteering to delegate to anyone who needs to keep busy as we figure a way out of here, that'd be helpful.
[ A lot more helpful than criticizing, anyway. ]

day 3ish or sometime after nero heckled him
As it stands, she's only been here about a day, having gotten taken later in the week than many of the other Summoned.
When he's done and happens to pass by near her, she grunts. ]
Hm. Anyone ever told you you sound like Sam?
[ She knows they're from the same world, and that's about it. ]
no subject
... You're joking, right?
[ Sometimes he forgets that not everyone in this world understands the context of him and Sam and how they relate to each other. ]
no subject
Bit less self-righteous.
But only barely.
no subject
[ Steve trails off for a moment, considering how to put this. ]
He took on my mantle after I was... [ There's an uneasy pause. ] ... gone. So if anything, he's the one who sounds like me.
[ It's splitting hairs, he realizes. But she did ask. ]
But you can be sure he's rallying the troops, anyone who wasn't taken.
a few days in!
They're all in this shit together, like it or not, and working in sync with each other ought to get them out a hell of a lot faster than if it's every person for themselves.]
Obvs I'm gonna be searching for a way out of here. But like, I've spent a decent amount of time out in the desert. I can hunt. I'm not planning on chowing down while everyone else goes hungry.
[Quite the opposite, despite the attitude-- she'll go out of her way to make sure everyone else survives. Take this as her offer to help.]
no subject
Steve isn't immediately put off by a bad attitude, especially because the stranger (though he's seen her around before, he's sure) is giving him her resume. He turns to her with a firm nod. ]
I appreciate that. We seem to have a decent number of people here with survival skills, and that'll go a long way to making sure we all stay fed enough to not start losing it.
[ Because people get irritated when they're deprived of food. They start snapping, they can't think clearly. It's the last thing they need. ]
What's your name?
no subject
Gideon. I've also got like, a years’ worth of experience breaking up tavern brawls, so if things do get to that point I can step in. Security too, for anyone without any combat experience. You know, in case we're attacked.
[Which seems increasingly likely.]
And you're...?
no subject
I'm Steve. And I'd definitely appreciate you stepping in if anything gets physical. [ He doesn't really care if people snap at each other, it's bound to happen when they're trapped and barely have enough to eat. ]
I think there's at least a few people here who haven't been through anything like this before. Not just Summoned, but Abraxan natives who got caught up in this.
[ So yeah, security? They're gonna need it. ]

day 1
After Steve finishes speaking, he moves forward to speak to the other man, offering him a half-hearted grin that doesn't quite hide the strain of the anxiety he's still struggling with for just being down here. ]
I can do just about any of those things, so what do we need the most priority of help on? Weapons or supplies?
no subject
He moves toward him, reaching out to give his shoulder a firm grip. It feels like Sylvain might react well to that sort of tactility, the physical reminder that he's not alone here. ]
Right now, I'd say weapons. [ He's had a few people step up about food and water already. ] I think it's a safe bet that we're gonna have to fight our way out of here.
no subject
But he just nods in agreement, because he'd come to the same conclusion. ] Yeah, all the trouble they took to get us here, I have a feeling they're not going to be all that keen on just talking it out or letting us go.
Although there's not a lot. Bones. Rocks. Some vines, maybe? I can poke into some of the tunnels, maybe. See what I can find.
[ At least if he can focus on what he's doing, it might hold back the panic a while longer. ]

Here, running into literal stone walls with no obvious means of escape, it's a little different. So it's good, maybe, that someone is stepping up to organize. She waits until he's given his talk and fielded most of the questions before approaching.]
Not bad. Seems like you practiced.
[Or, at least, had something in his back pocket.]
no subject
He responds to her remark with a nod and a shrug. ]
Not my first rodeo.
[ Will she know what that is? Well, moving on. ]
How're you holding up?
no subject
[There’s a lot of old data in her focus (or there was, anyway), so she may or may not know what that is, but she understands the sentiment regardless. He carries himself like someone who has been in a situation like this before.]
I’m okay. [For now. She expects their situation to change sooner rather than later, so she knows they need to organize while they can.]
Look, if you need help gathering supplies or securing a perimeter, this…isn’t my first, either.
